Feinerkogel is 947 meter high peak in the Prealps East of the Mur. The peak is located 1.4 km northeast from the center of Ratten and 3 km east from the center of Sankt Kathrein am Hauenstein. The nearest mountain hut is Hauereckschutzhütte, located 4km northwest. A little further is Holta-Hütte. Northwest of the summit is the valley Glawockengraben.
