Description:
Steinkogel is 1031 meter high peak and is part of the Prealps East of the Mur. The peak is located 3 km northeast from the center of Ratten and 4 km southwest from the center of Rettenegg. The nearest mountain hut is Hauereckschutzhütte, located 4km west-northwest. A little further is Steinwandhittn. The peak is located southwest of the valley Fröschnitzgraben.
