Gaislachkogel is 3056 meter high peak and is part of the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 4 km southwest from the center of Sölden and 5 km west from the center of Zwieselstein and 1.2 km east-northeast of peak Äußere Schwarze Schneide. The nearest mountain hut is Heide Alm, located 2km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Rheinland-Pfalz-Biwak. 0.8 km south of the peak there is lake Gaislacher See. 3 km west from the summit there is glacier Pollesferner, 4 km southwest from the summit there is also glacier Tiefenbachferner.
