The nearest mountain hut is Rotkogeljochhütte, located 1.6km east-northeast. bivouac Rheinland-Pfalz-Biwak is also relatively close. 0.8 km northeast of the peak there is lake Schwarzsee. 2 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Pollesferner, 4 km south-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Karlesferner.
