Gamskarlspitz is 2833 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 6 km north from the center of Stappitz and 6 km north from the center of Mallnitz. The nearest mountain hut is Mindener Hütte, located 1.6km south-southwest. Radeckalm is also relatively close. 7 km east-northeast from the summit there is glacier Grubenkarkees, 7 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Tischlerkarkees. South-southeast of the summit is the valley Seebachtal.
