Gamskofel - Cima dei Camosci is 2505 meter high peak and is part of the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 1.7 km east-northeast of peak Hochalt - Monte Alto. The nearest mountain hut is Oberetteshütte - Rifugio Oberettes, located 7km north-northwest. A little further is bivouac Schäferhütte. 3 km north-northwest from the summit there is glacier Ramudelferner - Vedretta di Ramudla, 3 km north from the summit there is also glacier Lagaunferner - Vedretta di Lagaun. The peak is located in the valley Vinschgau - Val Venosta.
