Gartner Wand is 2377 meter high peak and is part of the Lechtal Alps. The peak is located 4 km south from the center of Wengle and 4 km southwest from the center of Obergarten and 4 km northeast of peak Tagweidkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Wolfratshauser Hütte, located 2km east-northeast. A little further is bivouac Bahnhaltestelle Lähn. 4 km southeast of the peak there is lake Blindsee. Southeast of the summit is the valley Zwischentoren.
