Description:
Gasteg is 1762 meter high peak and is part of the Kitzbühel Alps. The peak is located 2 km north-northeast of peak Niederer Gernkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Pinzgauer Hütte, located 4km southeast. Closer is bivouac Jagdhütte, which is located 3km to the north. Northeast of the summit is the valley Vorderglemmtal.
