Großer Buchberg is 1102 meter high peak in the Upper Austrian Prealps. The peak is located 9 km southeast from the center of Molln and 10 km southeast from the center of Sonnseite. The nearest mountain hut is Polz Hütte, located 3km south-southwest. A little further is hunting cottage Umkehrhütte. The peak is located west-southwest of the valley Neustiftgraben.
