The peak is located 9 km north-northeast from the center of Windischgarsten and 10 km north-northwest from the center of Rosenau am Hengstpaß. The nearest mountain hut is Feichtauhütte, located 3km west. A bit closer is hunting cottage Umkehrhütte, which is located 1.9km to the south-southwest. Northeast of the summit is the valley Neustiftgraben.
