Grüne Tatzen is 2952 meter high peak in the Stubai Alps. The peak is located 5 km east-northeast from the center of Gries and 8 km south-southwest from the center of Praxmar. The nearest mountain hut is Winnebachseehütte, located 2km west. A little further is bivouac Vorraum Tourismusbüro (täglich geöffnet). 0.9 km north-northwest from the summit there is glacier Grüne Tatzen Ferner, 1.6 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Längentaler Ferner.
