Description:
Hinter Schwarzmooskogel is 1904 meter high peak and is part of the mountain group Totes Gebirge. The peak is located 7 km northeast from the center of Altaussee and 7 km north from the center of Grundlsee. The nearest mountain hut is Albert Appel-Haus, located 4km east. Closer is Jagdhütte, which is located 3km to the west-southwest. 6 km south-southwest of the peak there is lake Altausseer See. West of the summit is the valley Rettenbachtal.
