Hinterer Gigler is 2294 meter high peak located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 11 km north-northwest from the center of Salchau and 12 km north-northeast of Pöllau am Greim and 1.6 km north-northeast of peak Gstoder. The nearest mountain hut is Halserhütte, located 7km southeast. Closer is Untere Glattalm, which is located 3km to the north-northwest.
