Hinterer Spiegelkogel is 3426 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located 5 km southeast from the center of Vent and 7 km southwest from the center of Obergurgl. The nearest mountain hut is Ramolhaus, located 0.9km east. A little further is bivouac Ramolalm. 0.8 km southwest from the summit there is glacier Firmisánferner, 1.7 km north-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Ramolferner.
