Hochgscheid is 1729 meter high peak in the Berchtesgaden Alps. The peak is located on the border between the country of Austria and the country of Germany. The nearest mountain hut is Bergheim Hirschbichl, located 4km south. A bit closer is Lahnwald-Diensthütte, which is located 3km to the east. The peak is located east of the valley Pillerseetal.
