Hochkranz is 1953 meter high peak and is part of the Berchtesgaden Alps. The peak is located 4 km southwest of peak Kammerlinghorn. The nearest mountain hut is Bergheim Hirschbichl, located 4km north. Closer is Waldmühlsäge, which is located 1.9km to the north-northeast. The peak is located east of the valley Pillerseetal.
