Hundskogel is 1748 meter high peak and is part of the mountain group Totes Gebirge. The peak is located in country Austria 2 km east of peak Trisselwand. The nearest mountain hut is Loserhütte, located 5km west-northwest. Closer is bivouac Grundlsee Gaiswinkel, which is located 2km to the southeast. 4 km west of the peak there is lake Altausseer See. The peak is located northeast of the valley Koppental.
