Kapunitzköpfl is 2816 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 7 km north from the center of Hinterbichl and 7 km north-northwest from the center of Prägraten. The nearest mountain hut is Defreggerhaus, located 1.1km northeast. bivouac Blinigalm is also relatively close. 3 km east from the summit there is glacier Garaneberkees, 3 km west from the summit there is also glacier Maurerkees. The peak is located northwest of the valley Timmeltal.
