The saddle is located 7 km southwest from the center of Innergschlöß and 7 km north from the center of Wallhorn. The nearest mountain hut is Defreggerhaus, located 2km west-northwest. bivouac Blinigalm is a bit further away. 0.6 km south from the saddle there is glacier Garaneberkees, 2.0 km northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Kristallwandkees. South-southwest of the saddle is the valley Timmeltal.
