The peak is located 6 km west-southwest from the center of Innergschlöß and 8 km west-southwest from the center of Außergschlöß. The nearest mountain hut is Defreggerhaus, located 2km south-southwest. A little further is Vorderofnerhütte. 3 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Kristallwandkees, 3 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Garaneberkees. The peak is located south of the valley Gschlößtal.
