The peak is located 0.8 km northeast of peak Schafkarkogel and jugo-jugovzhodno above the mountain pasture Leiterkaralm. The nearest mountain hut is Feldereralm, located 1.6km east-southeast. A little further is Karhütte. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Großfleißtal.
