Description:
Mitterberg is 1496 meter high peak and is part of the Mürzsteg Alps. The peak is located 6 km south-southeast from the center of Kernhof and 7 km east-northeast from the center of Frein an der Mürz. The nearest mountain hut is Gippelhütte, located 3km north-northeast. A bit closer is Forsthaus, which is located 2km to the northeast. East-southeast of the summit is the valley Waldebengraben.
