Nördliche Atterkarspitze is 3180 meter high peak and is part of the Stubai Alps. The peak is located 0.7 km west of peak Wilde Leck. The nearest mountain hut is Hochstubaihütte, located 3km south-southeast. A little further is bivouac Notbiwak. East-northeast from the summit there is glacier Atterkarferner, 1.1 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Kuhscheibenferner. The peak is located east of the valley Ötztal.
