Description:
Ressen is 1303 meter high peak and is part of the mountain group Totes Gebirge. The peak is located 5 km east-southeast of peak Trisselwand. The nearest mountain hut is Loserhütte, located 8km west-northwest. Closer is bivouac Grundlsee Gaiswinkel, which is located 1.8km to the north-northwest. 7 km west-northwest of the peak there is lake Altausseer See. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Koppental.
