Rotkogel is 2894 meter high peak in the Stubai Alps. The peak is located 2 km west-northwest of peak Wannenkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Brunnenkogelhaus, located 1.0km northwest. A little further is Zollwache. 5 km east from the summit there is glacier Hangender Ferner, 5 km north from the summit there is also glacier Wütenkarferner.
