Salzkopf is 2348 meter high peak in the Rieserferner Group. The peak is located 2 km east-northeast of peak Mulle and jugozahodno above the mountain pasture Obere Seebachalm. The nearest mountain hut is Jausenstation Jagdhausalm, located 3km north-northwest. A little further is Jagdhütte. 1.7 km south-southwest of the peak there is lake Sankt-Josef-See. 3 km west from the summit there is glacier Fleischbachkees, 5 km south-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Lenksteinferner - Vedretta di Sasso Lungo.
