The nearest mountain hut is Barmer Hütte, located 2.0km south. A little further is Jagdhütte. 1.2 km north-northeast of the saddle there is lake Sankt-Josef-See. 2.0 km southwest from the saddle there is glacier Lenksteinferner - Vedretta di Sasso Lungo, 3 km north-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Fleischbachkees. North-northeast of the saddle is the valley Defereggental.
