Riesernock is 2937 meter high peak and is part of the Rieserferner Group. The peak is located 1.7 km north of peak Graues Nöckl - Dosso Grigio. The nearest mountain hut is Kasseler Hütte, located 2km west. Furtalm is a bit further away. 4 km east-northeast of the peak there is lake Sankt-Josef-See. 1.6 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Lenksteinferner - Vedretta di Sasso Lungo, 1.6 km south from the summit there is also glacier Hochgall Ferner - Vedretta di Collalto. West-northwest of the summit is the valley Reintal - Val di Riva.
