Schachenkarkopf is 2984 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.3 km south of peak Vorderkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Postalm, located 4km east. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 2 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Kl. Jaidbachkees, 3 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Großer Jaidbachkees.
