The nearest mountain hut is Berndlalm, located 4km northeast. bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte is a bit further away. 3 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Kl. Jaidbachkees, 4 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Großer Jaidbachkees. The peak is located above the valley Krimmler Achental.
