Schimpelspitz is 2413 meter high peak located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The peak is located in country Austria 7 km southwest from the center of Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal and 9 km north from the center of Hintermühlen. The nearest mountain hut is Rudolf-Schober-Hütte, located 2km south-southwest. A little further is Trafleralm. Southwest of the summit is the valley Rantengraben.
