Schirnitzriegel is 630 meter high peak and is part of the Prealps East of the Mur. The peak is located 2 km north-northwest from the center of Salmannsdorf and 2 km southeast from the center of Redlschlag. And MMFC Lockenhaus is also close by. The peak is located east of the valley Schwarzgraben.
