The peak is located 6 km west-northwest from the center of Kurzras - Maso Corto and 11 km west-northwest from the center of Vernagt - Vernago. The nearest mountain hut is Oberetteshütte - Rifugio Oberettes, located 1.1km south. And bivouac Wetterhütte is also close by. 1.8 km east-northeast from the summit there is glacier Steinschlagferner - Vedretta delle Frane, 1.9 km north-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Matscher Ferner - Ghiacciaio di Mazia. The peak is located in the valley Vinschgau - Val Venosta.
