The peak is located 5 km south-southwest from the center of Hintermuhr and 5 km west-southwest from the center of Muhr and 1.1 km south-southeast of peak Silbereck. The nearest mountain hut is Lanisch-Ochsenhütte, located 1.8km southeast. A little further is bivouac Albert-Biwak. The peak is located above the valley Lanisch.
