Description:
Lanischscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2890 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 7 km southwest from the center of Hintermuhr and 8 km west-southwest from the center of Muhr. The nearest mountain hut is Kattowitzer Hütte, located 1.7km west-southwest. And bivouac Albert-Biwak is also close by. 9 km west-southwest from the saddle there is glacier Großelendkees. The saddle is located northeast of the valley Maltatal.
