Großer Hafner

Description:
Großer Hafner is 3076 meter high peak with a registration box and a cross located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 7 km southwest from the center of Hintermuhr and 8 km west-southwest from the center of Muhr. The nearest mountain hut is Kattowitzer Hütte, located 1.7km south-southwest. A little further is bivouac Albert-Biwak. 0.6 km northeast from the summit there is glacier Rotgüldenkees, 0.6 km west from the summit there is also glacier Wastlkarkees. The peak is located west of the valley Pöllatal. The peak is located above the ridge Marschneid.
