Schwarzkogel is 1416 meter high peak and is part of the Berchtesgaden Alps. The peak is located 4 km west-southwest from the center of Werfen and 4 km southwest from the center of Tenneck. The nearest mountain hut is Alpengasthof Dielalm, located 2km east-northeast. A bit closer is Köckalm, which is located 0.3km to the southeast.
