Šilo is 848 meter high peak. The peak is located 5 km south-southwest from the center of Babna Polica and 5 km west-southwest from the center of Babno Polje. The nearest mountain hut is Koča Draga Karolina, located 5km southwest. A bit closer is hunting cottage Lovska koča Grajševka, which is located 3km to the north. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Mrzla dolina.
