Sonnwendkogel is 906 meter high peak in the Ybbstal Alps. The peak is located 1.1 km northeast from the center of Göstling an der Ybbs and 3 km south-southeast from the center of Kogelsbach. The nearest mountain hut is Siebenhütte, located 5km west-southwest. Closer is Schornialm, which is located 0.7km to the south-southwest. The peak is located south of the valley Kothbergtal.
