The peak is located 4 km southwest from the center of Grießen and 4 km south-southeast from the center of Hochfilzen. The nearest mountain hut is Lindlalm, located 1.3km southeast. Even closer is bivouac Barnkogelhütte., which is located 1.1km to the south-southwest. South of the summit is the valley Hinterglemmtal.
