Spielriegel is 2176 meter high peak and is part of the Gurktal Alps. The peak is located 2.0 km south of peak Wintertalernock. The nearest mountain hut is Wintertalerhütte, located 4km northeast. Closer is bivouac Schutzhütte Lattersteighöhe, which is located 0.7km to the south. 6 km west of the peak there is lake Turrachsee. East-northeast of the summit is the valley Metnitztal.
