Südliche Sonennwand is 3037 meter high peak in the Stubai Alps. The peak is located 0.6 km north of peak Gleirscher Fernerkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Westfalenhaus, located 3km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Vorraum Tourismusbüro (täglich geöffnet). 0.7 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Gleirscher Ferner, 3 km west-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Grieskogelferner.
