Čomo Lungma is an old Tibetan term for Mt. Everest. In translation it would mean Divine mother of snow, earth, world. A few years ago I read in some literature that Čomo Lungma also means roof of the world in translation. Probably other expressions exist too. Regards!

I also bring them from every summit conquered. I find somehow the most suitable ones, which I then clean and sand the bottom with a belt sander so they are flat and stand nicely. Then with a red marker (for drawing on stone) I write the summit name and altitude and also with white and red marker (for drawing on stone) I draw the mark. I wait a couple of minutes to dry and then with a brush apply transparent stone glaze all over the stone. Wait to dry and on the back write the date when I was on the summit. This way I get an extremely nice authentic souvenir of the conquered summit. I have all the stones as decoration in the room and in various places around the house. I also give some away because it's an extremely nice and special gift. Markers 1 to 2 mm wide, brushes and transparent stone glaze are available in ARTIS stores. pikaq! You're heading to high mountains where a helmet is mandatory or highly recommended and you definitely won't look silly. In such cases don't look at the opinion of others, but first listen to your intuition, and take care of your safety so you won't regret it later because of your own feeling that with a helmet on your head and a safety kit you're a housewife and didn't take care of your safety. Today I did a short trip to Donačka Mountain. Start from Kupčinjega Vrh over the stream. No special features on the way, but caution against slipping is not superfluous, because snow is well trampled and frozen in higher part. On top strong cold south wind was blowing this morning. Views were wonderful and because of them it's always worth visiting the top of Donačka Mountain.

Viharnik and Turbo, you nicely provided me with information about overnighting in the bivouac, and about conditions in winter time around the bivouac below Skuta. Now I can better imagine the facts around winter overnight stays.

Please, can someone from their own experience tell what the conditions are like to the bivouac under Skuta, in winter - snowy conditions. What are the temperatures inside at night - is it bearable for overnighting? Do you recommend a gas stove or is a sleeping bag and warm clothes enough?
