We are all members of PZS regardless of which part of Slovenia we are from. Most of the membership fee we pay for the current year goes to PZS, some of it to PD. I've also come across different prices for members and non-members. I don't think that's right but unfortunately each PD sets it their own way as it's also a source of funds for them to some extent. Mountain guides are supposed to be volunteer guides within the clubs who shouldn't be paid for leading. But it's true that lately more and more mountain guides are opting for professional guiding and thus charging for it.

To all who were on Begunjščica.....did anyone throw trash into Lenuhova gully?

When I read this debate I simply don't know what to think. Everyone is smart, each on their side but when it gets stuck somewhere, then call for rescue. There is a law on mountain paths where mountain biking is clearly defined, where you can ride and where not. At PZS there is also a commission for touring cycling and there you can get all necessary info. I assume paragliders also have rules where and when they can take off. How to behave in presence of helicopter in high mountains during its landing or takeoff every experienced mountaineer should know, so the claim that helicopter almost hit someone seems very nonsensical to me.
Bikers, go abroad and ride freely on mountain paths that are not for bikes, you'll see what real law respect is.
Paragliders, use take-off sites registered for you since most of your accidents happen there and in their vicinity.
Above all bikers and paragliders consider you're not alone and rescuers also have their families with whom they want to spend their free time.

I have to say I had a great time with my partner as it turned out almost all were from this forum. LJ if you met zvončnica and Alpski Slovenc in Krma then you met me too.nasmehnasmeh

There were quite a few from the portal who celebrated New Year's Eve on Kredarica and for all those discussing prosciutto let me say it was on the table and cheerfully sliced. There were also plenty of other goodies, above all an overflowing measure of good mood and cheerful atmosphere. In short we spent two beautiful sunny days which will imprint deeply in our souls by their beauty. To those who said they'd come but didn't I can say only that it's a pity for you. I was today with Damjana also on the summit and my comment can only be ......FANTASYnasmehnasmehnasmeh
Pictures I'll post as soon as I upload them.

Nice that you're all so enthusiastic. Igor didn't say he'd go up, if he does, on skins with which you go up the slope much differently than hikers. That's why the 3-hour time is mentioned. On foot in winter conditions you have to count on 5-6 hours or even more.

Me too, I'm joining the Hribi.net group. New Year's Eve at Kredarica is really something incredible, I tasted it last year and weather was insanely fantastic and hope it will be this year too.

I also plan to celebrate New Year's Eve at Kredarica, if the weather is at least a bit like last year's NYE.
