Picturesque description. Bravo, generation.

Since I recreate on a forest path over which a goshawk nests every year, I can say that a couple hundred meters from the nest it warns me with calls, then descends towards me. When I turn my head towards it, it flies away. After 200, 300 meters it gets tired. The smarter one gives up.

Regarding crampons and ice axe at this time of year anywhere in the mountains there shouldn't be any dilemmas and no "saving" on backpack weight. Trobec, comparison with winter tires is more than appropriate. Good luck.

Well sharpened for the new season. Congrats, and take care of the ankles.

Exactly, I'm "fovš" for you two.

I know a "celebrity" who lectured that after finishing extreme triathlon career at mother-in-law's he could eat everything in the fridge. After 40 it all shows on him quite well. Just as we must find measure in this world in filtering everything, we must find it also in heeding "well-meaning" advice of friendly pharmaceutical lobbies. Let's eat what we like, if possible homemade, quantity adjust to our activities, above all learn to listen to our body.

Probably the previously described equipped "hillwalkers", whether Czechs or Slovenes don't go to disco or to DJ Umek in gojzari. Everyone knows what is appropriate, if not mandatory gear for the mountains. The picture of the inappropriately equipped girl is much milder than the one that could potentially be next to the urn with a wreath. When planning a tour or among rocks a proper warning is in place. Maybe the hillwalker girl needs to be pointed out her "shortcoming" in a cultural way. Don't count on a policeman fighting with shifts and inhuman work schedule for the 26th pay grade. We're lucky that GRS members are well equipped and go to the walls for the fools, if some Čufar stays under the snow because of the aforementioned. We moralize a bit too much and do too little. SLOVENIA TO THE FINALS!!!nasmehnasmehnasmeh

If I go back a bit to the debate about "climbers" on Aljažev tower and statements that it's just a pile of iron and has no historical or nation-forging value. You just need to browse a bit through mountaineering literature and you'll see in what times the tower was built and what meaning it had then for the Slovenian nation. Regarding accessibility, I agree that the path without aids would be very demanding and would decimate hordes of visitors. As an example, a few years ago my neighbor (otherwise a tough woman) went, at the urging of her husband and his mountain (beer) buddies from Pokljuka via Planika to the top and back. At the first cables they realized she was vertiginous, so they roped her like a calf among Huron sheep, dragged her to the top and then lowered her to the starting point. She couldn't walk for two weeks. But now she's a real Slovenka. For shitting.

Nice reward for the early hour. Pictures 1 and 2 are phenomenal.

I like this race now. It's important to realize that the guys who take on this feat are experienced mountaineers, mountain runners, ski tourers, alpinists, triathletes and more, so I believe they are aware of all the pitfalls on the path. With this feat I remembered Kunavar, Šrauf and Tonač, who climbed Čopov pillar in an epic winter ascent and with this unique act defended Slovenian honor. Slovenes are a nation of extreme athletes and we must be proud of that. Sooner or later some Jiržy or Hans will try to "pull out" the record from us. Slovenian Mountain Trail connects a large part of Slovenia, I hope it connects us too. Marjan, sincere congratulations to you and your helpers.
