Were those you yesterday? Interesting, we were there Saturday, no living soul anywhere. But on Špik (judging by the number of cars and people at the hut below) quite a lively crowd.

KMiha: yes we were yesterday. Yesterday too, except for us 4, no living soul on the nearby peaks.
Maybe snow deterred them from the usual. But surely the closure of Vrata valley 
Because our original goal was Veliki Oltar from Vrata.

A year has gone by and it's proper to visit my friend.
Whoever no longer has it in their legs has reserves in time, so I start from the parking under the third Vršič serpentine just after five. The only flat walking I don't curse is quickly behind me, I pet the dog in front of the house that's still dozing a bit, didn't notice the other. I was surprised by the really pleasant freshness, most of all happy for walking in the shade, as the first sun ray grazes me only at about 2300m. After stashing wet clothes and water bottle I felt like a monkey in light scramble on the last pitch before the summit plateau of this mighty mountain. Clothes are of course wet again and I cover some rocks with them. In long t-shirt and undies obligatory to the top, during short scramble the phone bothered me because I had nowhere to stick it. This time views were really unique, but it annoys me a lot that the phone automatically dims when too warm (bright) and I see nothing, so I try to aim it precisely at the object. Sadly doesn't always work. Visitor count was 300% more than Wednesday on Mali Ponca. Stayed 1.20h on top, return same way. In bivouac, which I love as much as only the one in Kočni, in pleasant cool even dozed a bit. No rush at all, descend sloooowly, before hut in Krnica finish sandwich and wash down with beer cooling in tub. For final tour part end at car in Pišnica, in pool dunk neck-deep three times for fifteen secs. Drove to Dana like reborn...

Here you don't need rope, from Visoki Rokav on descent at last pitch it's almost obligatory for 'scree lovers'.
Ha, now I see you have exactly one third of my 'experience' and still maximally flexible - if you have enough climbing experience and climb grade 3, you can leave the rope home.

Rok, from pics looks like after exit from Velika Dnina you went right? We went left, could have missed there. Did you happen to meet guy in fluorescent t-shirt? He was parallel/simultaneous with us 
Tone, yeah...this time rope just for walk along...no harm, for fitness But in past on some tour happened that it would come handy...but wasn't there...
p.s. see Tonet's comment on rope was for Rok

Lijaneja, thanks for info. It'll probably wait a bit longer. I don't have the feel yet when it's grade 3, because somewhere grade 3 is easy, somewhere hard. More than that, frostbite worries me. I'm somehow running out of other new summits accessible by buses to Gorenjska. At least there would be a bivouac.
Trobec, I'd say I saw you going up a shortcut, when I was descending from gully to scree and saw at least 3 going quite spread out from scree on rocks, probably you? Mentioned gentleman met exactly at edge when entering the gully. Otherwise went by feel and cairns and some descriptions here above. Carried rope myself too, if problem descending grade 3, but stayed unused too.

On 12.12 and 13.12 went to test winter sleeping bag. Wasn't cold, conditions top, only somewhere lost 1.5L water, happens. Conditions great, except below from hut to torrent sinking in between bushes. Shame only that phone has such shit camera, because stars and shooting stars were abnormally beautiful. Probably Mr. Knavs with his camera would capture all silhouettes much better. Wasn't cold.
