Hello, just for the first of November I was on the mountain for the first time. Start from St. Jurij and return past Rudi's hut to the starting point. Trip for two solid hours with tea at the hut. The path pleasantly surprised me, you don't always need to go to the high mountains to get inspired and enjoy the views. I was returning a bit in the dusk and caught the sunset and candles at the cemetery. It was quite romantic. In the near future I'll add some photos too. It was great. Safe steps to all, Vlado.

Hello, it's been tempting me for some time, something poking inside me, wake up from winter sleep, come on... And it happened. On Saturday 25.2.2017 I went to visit Okrešelj again, no longer counting how many times, but I think it's my favorite again. Conditions on the path, fresh snow, just right cold and clear sky. Won't describe feelings, just say I'll return for sure. And one more thing to share with you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzcPNHFCyKE&feature=youtu.be . Safe steps to all, Vlado

Today I also conquered Škrlatica, namely from Vrata. In my opinion the path is more demanding than to Triglav, time-wise about the same. Up and down I spent 11 hours, including breaks, snack and photographing, it could easily be shortened by an hour, considering I'm already older. The path is quite steep and you always walk on rugged terrain with stones and screes until you enter the climbing section. At the beginning the climbing section is secured with pitons, pegs and cables, really where needed, the second climbing section you climb along markers, cables are unnecessary from my viewpoint, but caution is needed as always. Some pictures that are right at the top in the description really mislead a bit and I went on this path with fear. Well it turned out it's secured where needed, caution is anyway needed on every step. I hope with what I wrote I help someone to visit this mountain, which really deserves the name queen Škrlatica. Just make sure you start early enough and don't forget enough water because the sun really scorches from the morning. The tour is strenuous in my view but unforgettable. Greetings to all, Vlado

Why not over Voje, I sometimes extend over Uskovnica, or back from Planika to Dolič and where the sign for 7J to the valley and up a bit to Vodnik again, I combine when I'm alone of course. Otherwise now because it's really the first time for the girlfriend probably from Pokljuka (or from Krma or Kota, tomorrow we'll decide exactly), the 7J tour will be more in autumn when everything is in colors.

@Kenzu I also plan to visit Triglav this weekend with my girlfriend (girlfriend also first time to Triglav). However, I'm thinking of starting in Stara Fužina past the Mostnica gorges, over Velo polje (hope I spelled it right) to Vodnik and Planika to Triglav, descent to Dolič where we'd sleep. Second day from Dolič over Hribarice and Prehodavce to the hut at Triglav Lakes and over Štapce and Vogar back towards Stara Fužina. The path is of course longer and on the second day you're already tired, but this path is nicer to me, and you can combine something else because on the second day you have three hours of walking and you're at the car. I'm not sure yet if I won't rather postpone it for a week because the weather currently isn't favorable, so I'll decide at the last moment, but I wish you a nice and safe path, Vlado

Yesterday, August 8th, went to Triglav from Kot valley and returned to Kot valley the same day. Ascent went without issues, descent showed fatigue. At Staničev dom I saw Mr. Janez Janša , which doesn't happen every day. Whole tour took exactly 12 hours (06:00 to 18:00), 6.5 up and 5.5 down with breaks. So it's possible to do Triglav up and down in one day. But everyone should consider it's no easy task, most of the tour is through scree and in the sun's heat, you're pretty exhausted at the end if not an athlete. I managed , though I'm no longer a youngster. Nice mountain greetings to all, Vlado.

@gornik12 Three years ago I also went via Triglav Lakes but over Komna and slept at Dolič. Second day from Triglav to Pokljuka. Only problem then getting back to Bohinj (luckily first car stopped and took me). Path really long first day, so start as early as possible, should be at Dolič in ten hours if moderate pace. Or go as I did one year: start Stara Fužina to Vodnikov dom and on to Triglav, sleep at Planika or Dolič, next day via Hribarice to Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih and left uphill to Vogar and back to start, also very nice tour, especially start with Mostnica gorges. At path start along stream, I went via Uskovnica bit longer. Next weekend 8th and 9th August going up again, don't know which path yet .

@jedriličar you're right, I have the map in front of me. Ascent and descent will be from Planika because we have female company with us who is of a more timid sort. Otherwise, we'll see on the path how brave our girls are Thanks and best regards, Vlado.

@Žajtam I always thought it was Turška gora and the gully and explained it to others too, thanks for the clarification. Regarding some young ones and their grammar, I could also claim I was on Olympus . I admit it was a nice trip.

@pohodnik38, brother says the path was more like Bled Vintgar (Hudičeva soteska or whatever it's called?), but we'll definitely try over Grmada too. @Kita was on Turska gora from Kamniško sedlo and returned via Turski žleb, I know some go reverse , that's how it seemed to me. If ferratas don't suit me, I'll hike mountains more with my friend. Thanks for the answers given and looking forward to new ones. And one more pic of my friend follows.

Hello! Already as a child I was enthusiastic about mountains and nature and visited some of our peaks. I have a question where to go next (of course next year) because somehow ferratas have grown close to my heart. I was already in the Turkish Gully, no fear, from Kredarica to Triglav summit also without fear but I felt respect for the mountain, I admit. So where should I test my skills and increase the climbing difficulty? I'm from Styria and have some gear already, the rest I'll buy, safety first for me, don't want to be on TV news when someone rescues me risking their life for me. You can also write where there's a gorge where you walk on bridges by the river and climb pegs etc. (brother was in army in Celje and they had "training" nearby in some gorge, he said it's unforgettable), at least some adrenaline. I'm just over 40 and moderately fit. Thanks for answers. Vladika
