Many thanks to all for the detailed advice. We decided as last written. Ascent over Kotovo sedlo and overnight in Zavetišče pod Špičkom. Second day nicely to Vršič and over Slemenova špica to Tamar. But does anyone know if there is any snow patch on this path and if crampons would be needed?

Once again I ask if someone can help with info.
On Thursday we plan ascent to Jalovec from Tamar over Kotovo sedlo. This is supposedly better for ascent than Jalovška škrbina (scree). We would like to visit shelter below Špička, then best way back to Tamar. Is it the path past Goličica over Jalovška škrbina. Advice and approx return time, shelter Špička-Tamar.
Last week some snow high up, it will probably melt in the next couple of nice days. Thanks and regards

I have issues with Polar AXN500 watch, specifically with the barometer, more precisely with the baro/alti sensor that needs to be replaced.

But since Polar apparently stopped sending spare parts for my model a year ago, the service in LJ (Urca) couldn't help at all.

This surprises me. Isn't it legally required that the manufacturer provides parts for seven years after the product is off the market?

In some similar forum discussions, I saw they highly praised some Mr. Marin from Novo mesto. Though a few years ago. Who knows if it's still relevant, maybe he could help me.

In September we plan with friends an ascent to Jalovec from Tamar over Kotovo sedlo. We'd also like to visit the shelter below Špička, then back to Tamar on the best route. Is that the path past Goličica and over Jalovška škrbina? I would ask for advice and how long the return would take, i.e., shelter below Špička-Tamar. Thank you kindly.

Hello! Just such a tour as Rutil described, I plan with buddy to do on Sunday, probably without ascent to Turska gora. Looks like nice weather. Interested how much approx time for whole loop and if via ferrata kit is necessary. We are quite experienced hikers and keep good pace. Nice thanks for info

Yeah, I relied on skiers' tracks, but probably crisscross up there, so wouldn't know where to turn. And without ice axe probably not yet. Better wait a bit with Stenar, go to Stol. Thanks for info. Lp

Hello! On Saturday I'd head to Stenar from Aljažev dom in Vrata, of course if the weather allows. I'd do a loop tour, so which path is better for ascent, Stenarska vratca or over Sovatna. Since I haven't hiked here yet, I wonder if markings and signs are visible enough not to go the wrong path. Thanks for the answers. Lp, Aleš
