planinka22...I think that when you go to the mountains you always need to have warm clothes. e.g. At Kredarica in the evening, in the morning regardless of the month there's always a bit of wind and you need fleece and windstopper.
Otherwise I've been to Triglav several times in Sept., when similar temperatures were forecast.... in the sun and while hiking we were still in short sleeves. To the summit we then went in a windbreaker and long&short t-shirt underneath. Nothing drastic... still great. My advice is ..as many layers as possible...and some hat for early morning hours and mandatory gloves after the chimneys of course. Good luck and many wonderful views.

my experience too.... when I first went to Triglav.. we were all relatively inexperienced (only one had been before--from Doliča) and went via Voje valley then to Kredarica..so similar to Pokljuka to Kredarica. Now looking back.. after almost all accesses to Triglav.....I liked Voje-Kredarica more, because much through forest (good in heat) but drags...like from Krma.From this view better and faster paths from Vrat valley. If someone goes to Triglav thus prepared for some climbing and could do secured path over Prag. That's my favorite...though demanding in parts...nothing serious. Paths like Krma, Voje valley, from Pokljuka just drag too much and path itself not so interesting.. over Prag is already an experience the path itself. Just my opinion.

Has anyone gone by bike to Valvasor hut-from Žirovnica? How many km & how steep? How angry do they get if you lock bike there to some fence

given the recent warm and rainy days... the question won't be so provocative anymore ... is there still snow on the path.... I'm mainly interested if it's possible without winter gear...
