We started the tour in Zajzera and headed along the forest path to the Luigi Pellarini hut. When we reached the junction along a slightly steeper trail, we turned towards Prašnik saddle, Trbiška škrbina and Žabniška škrbina (Sella Carnizza) and then descended along a partly secured path (I think a new one) to the Pellarini hut. Since we were still early, we climbed to Veliki Nabojs and then past the hut back to the starting junction and down to Zajzera. The circular path around the Lastovice is very scenic, diverse and picturesque. The path is well marked, only when ascending towards Žabniška škrbina along the stream you need to be a bit careful not to lose the path. We followed the water there and got slightly off track. Need to stick to the right side. Little visited path, but worth it. nasmeh

On April 22, I lost my touring ski in this area, which slid down into the valley halfway up the ascent. On Saturday, we headed again towards the saddle from Belopeška Lakes. There were quite a few people by the lake, but on the path we only saw one younger roe deer, which cautiously moved away, so no one felt threatened, neither us nor it. The snow is slowly melting, so the ski is still hidden somewhere under the snow, I hope. In the high walls, where there is also a climbing area equipped by Luca Vuerich, various icefalls are visible. The lower area is adorned with colorful flowers. If anyone is heading to these parts, please take a look for the ski... whoever finds it will be rewarded. smile

Mountain Morgenleit is 1971 m high and is located between
Val/Pesarina valley and val/Sauris valley. We parked in the center of Sauris di Sopra village and from there went with our doggy Dora along the marked path 204 to the summit. This mountain is quite visited, as the views are really fantastic. You can also see Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

Amariana, in this period it's really nice, full of diverse flowers. I started early from Amaro village, sprayed myself against ticks, turned to trail 414, climbed to Cristo di Forca pass at 1058 m. Then the trail continues through forest, on grassy slopes. In the last part there's an easier via ferrata, climbing path leading to the summit where there's a statue of Mary with a bell. Alone to the top, on the way back I met one couple and two men heading to the summit. To avoid possible ticks, at the junction I chose return on the asphalt road. For the whole tour with stops I needed 7.5 hours and did about 1500 m elevation gain. Good conditioning! Very diverse and panoramic mountain.

After a long time we returned to Snežnik and admired the forest richness of these areas. Always a pleasant ascent.

Today we ascended Poldanovec via the usual path and walked the circular route as drawn on the board by the path. Next to it they placed an information board about GLASSMAKING, glass production, in Trnovski gozd. Under it there's also a new wooden bench. In this period foresters have quite a lot of work, as there were plenty of felled trees and logs. Poldanovec is definitely a popular peak, views reach far around, although today it wasn't the clearest.

AUTUMN MOUNTAIN EXPERIENCES IN THE MOUNTAINS IN VERY PLEASANT COMPANY.
Thanks to Fanika and Manuela for thinking of me and inviting me along to our beautiful Julijce, to Naborjet mountains to TWO SPIRES (Due Pizzi), consisting of two peaks Cima Alta (2046m) and Cima Vildiver (2008m). Start from DUNJA valley - Plan dei Spadovai, continues to bivouac Bernardinis. From there the path becomes very interesting, first ascent over grassy slopes with huge WWI ruins along them, then tunnel through eastern peak of Two Spires (Cima Vildiver). Need light for tunnel crossing, as winding tunnel is 70m long. From tunnel to northern slopes, then down steep crumbly slope between both peaks to south side. Path first through natural window, then 150m artificial ledge in vertical south wall of western peak (Cima Alta).
Path on exposed ledge secured by cable brings to western slopes where junction. Turn right to Due Pizzi (Two Spires) marks, path through scree then grassy slope to western peak of Two Spires in 15 min. Returned same way.
I think this trip has extra charm in this season.

Tina.A.80, sorry for late reply. I don't know Austrian classification, as we don't go to Austria often. Anyway, the difficulty of these ferratas is quite high, PER ESPERTI. Needs physical fitness, lots of cables, ladders, occasionally quite exposed. Not for beginners.

Hello,

I'm interested in the current situation on Golica. Are there still/already daffodils?
Thanks for any answer.

Someone lost car keys (Citroën) at the St. Valentine chapel. We brought them to the top to the box where the logbook is.

THIRD AND FOURTH DAY:
RIFUGIO ALIMONTA, VIA DELLE BOCCHETTE CENTRALI, RIFUGIO PEDROTTI, RIFUGIO SELVATA, CROZ DELL'ALTISSIMO, MOLVENO, ANDALO.
Alimonta hut is private, a bit more expensive, offers comfortable beds, shower with hot water in heated room (4.50 eur), quality food. At 6.30 we had breakfast and an hour later headed to VIA DELLE BOCCHETTE CENTRALI. This ferrata is technically as demanding as the previous, but shorter (3.30 hours) and only 300 m elevation gain. Definitely beautiful, interesting, the most visited. Must experience it. When you read descriptions you form an idea, but once on site, the picture and perception of these mountains completely changes. Worth it, worth it, worth it! They completely captivated me and I felt truly happy both in the mountains and among the people we met and saw. After the ferrata we descended to Pedrotti hut and through indescribably beautiful valley to more modest Selvata hut, located in the forest between Molveno lake and Dolomiti di Brenta. There we befriended a Scottish couple, university professors of fine arts. They spiced up our evening, interesting exchange of thoughts, life experiences………….It poured buckets at night, but in the morning we woke to fresh new sunny day. Descended past famous CROZ DELL'ALTISSIMO hut to Molveno lake. Extremely beautiful tourist spot, renovated, clean. We sat by the lake, dipped feet, grateful for the beautifully experienced days we slowly prepared for return first by bus to Andalo (5 km) and then back to Gorizia.

SECOND DAY:
PASSO GROSTÈ, FERRATA ALFREDO E RODOLFO BENINI
FIRST FERRATA (600 m elevation gain, about 3.30 hours walk) is excellent warm-up and introduction to all-day hike along these beautiful ledges connecting various high alpine huts more than peaks. Not difficult, exposed parts well secured, only the last part descending via steep ladders to BOCCA di TUCKETT is somewhat more demanding. Interesting are their names (bocca, bocchette) marking saddles and passes between individual peaks and ridges.
SECOND FERRATA
BOCCA DI TUCKETT, VIA DELLE BOCCHETTE ALTE, RIFUGIO ALIMONTA - 800 m elevation gain, 4.30 hours walk, unique and unforgettable experience, more demanding than the first, occasionally quite exposed, several very well secured areas, quite vertical ladders, not overly visited (only at one section we had to wait a bit as climbers were descending from opposite direction). In this period no icy or snowy sections.

FOUR-DAY CIRCULAR TOUR IN DOLOMITI DI BRENTA: complete disconnection, full mountain experience in fresh air. Dolomiti di Brenta are located near Trento and rise above famous tourist spots like Andalo, Molveno, Madonna di Campiglio and are part of Adamello-Brenta national park. They told us it's typical for the area to rain a lot. We were lucky, as in five days it rained only twice and only at night. All paths are very well marked, ferratas recently renovated. Staying in huts requires advance reservation.
FIRST DAY
We parked the car in Andalo (12 eur per day - CICERO app) and headed via path 301 to MASO PEGORAR, then through pleasant forest to MALGA SPORA, where they serve local delicacies, onward to Passo della GAIARDA saddle (2242 m), where the view opens to the heart of Dolomiti di Brenta. The path continues through CAMPO FLAVONA: this is a very picturesque, green, wide Dolomite valley with beautiful TOVEL lake and interesting peaks Turrion Alto and Turrion Basso. The last ascent awaits to PASSO GROSTÈ, where the tourist hut Stoppani is (2438m). The five-six hour ascent here was mostly solitary, rarely meeting anyone, as the path is long, significant elevation (about 1700 m up and 500 down) and demanding with full backpack. At the last hut it was swarming with people, as a cable car leads there from famous Madonna di Campiglio. From there we descended through vast ski slopes another 200 m lower to Graffer hut, where we spent the first night.

Saw several times that above Sappada nice lakes and good tours, so this Saturday we headed there, towards Piave river source, stopped at Rododendro hut and then on nice path, already somewhat autumn colored, to Laghi d'Olbe. Short stop at three high alpine lakes, then on east on very scenic path to summit. Returned same way, stopped a bit more at lakes embraced by mountains. Weather ideal, people just right, not too much not too little.....Will return to these parts, as these mountains set new goals right away.....For Dora it was absolute paradise, joy and curiosity in eyes exploring new places and searching little fish....
Sabina Grahek25. 07. 2021 21:23:43
So we repeated this tour also in summer. When we arrived in Forni Avoltri, we turned right to Pierabech and drove to Goccia di Carnia mineral water filling station. Parking wasn't as full as in autumn. Many cars parked already at the beginning, so I thought they fixed the little bridge over Degano stream (I was right: very basic but passable - three logs tied together). On return we used it too.
We did a loop in this order: up Val Fleons to Sissanis pass, to summit of Navagiust, back to Lago Pera, along path under south wall of Crete di Bordaglia we reached Austria at Giramondo pass, there turned around and descended to idyllic Lago Bordaglia. Accompanied by doggie Dora, who could frolic here and enjoy hunting little fish. After long break we finished the loop descending to lower Planina Bordaglia and along the namesake stream. Just before confluence with Degano stream, Bordaglia stream carved a small gorge - always fascinates me anew. Overall the whole loop is very pleasant and varied. At this time full of diverse flowers. nasmeh

Turbo suggested we climb with Dora, our little dog, to this mountain above lakes Bordaglia and Pera. We accepted the challenge, did the route in the opposite direction from last time and were grateful for the advice. In the last part it's a bit steeper, but Dora had no problems. Wonderful views, mountain interesting also due to strategic war position, as this area is junction of three valleys. On the way back we stopped also at the waterfall and very interesting potholes, which is also worth seeing.
